I had never seen this shrub’s bloom before, so when I found this on a tour, I was the only person stopped in the trail to take a pic of the red flower.
Rest of the pics from the nursery. Happy to report plants bought last time are still alive and this time we got berries.

I honestly don’t know the name, but it’s common here and I had no idea it bloomed. Everyone in line commented about never seeing the flower before.
