Dancing Mondays: Mourning Juan Gabriel Edition

Yesterday the Latin American music world lost an icon, a leyend.

Juan Gabriel wrote, composed and arranged music that my generation enjoyed, and two generations before me did too.  His songs appealed to everyone, he had a way of laying every day stories with finess. A way of writing raw emotions that felt nostalgic, but empowering.

I read a title that referred to him as the Latin American Elvis. He was more than our Elvis.  He was our Prince, our Michael Jackson, our James Brown.

This are a few songs that every Latin American will recognize, sing and today, hum in mourning for this extraordinary man that thankfully left us this amazing legacy.

Have a good day today.  Remember a great song too.

I like comments as much as I like naps. And I LOVE naps.
