Tuesdays of Texture | Week 6 of 2016

Tuesdays of Texture is a super cool weekly feature.  You can read about it over here; but the short version is I want to see a bit of your world so link up your post in the comments!

A few days ago we drank the first coconuts from manfriend’s palm trees.

Don Luis gave them to him several years ago and this year, he was able to collect the coconuts.  It was a bitter-sweet moment because Don Luis passed away last year and manfriend adored him.  He was going to be his neighbor when manfriend built a house for his ex-fiance (she who left with another man) and he was the only person to bring him food, water and company while he was there.

We all drank from the coconuts and ate them later while we remembered him.  I had the pleasure of meeting him and he was one of the most kind and humble people I’ve come across.

They tasted like friendship.

These are the cool people that shared images last week, go check them out:

I like comments as much as I like naps. And I LOVE naps.
