San Se, as we affectionately call them

Christmas was officially (for the government) over last week (on the fourteenth, the end of las octavitas:  eight days after Three Kings Day);  you can count that, it was forty eight days of Christmas –  longest Christmas of the planet!

Unofficially (for normal Puerto Ricans) Christmas are over after the celebrations of Las Fiestas de la calle San Sebastian, which are fired up this weekend.

This is a little celebration token given to manfriend by a dear friend:  pitorro (moonshine) with a San Sebastian label.  I think it was cured with coconut.  YUM.

Moonshine a la San Se.

There are some extremes that take Chritsmas as far as la Candelaria, but we shouldn’t go there, I think our love for Christmas and parties is clearly stated after we dance in the streets with the cabezudos, yards in hand.

Have a lively weekend!

I like comments as much as I like naps. And I LOVE naps.
