Tuesdays of Textures: Last week of the year!

Every Tuesday I post a photo of a texture or the use of a texture and share a detail of my part of the world.

I invite you to join in the fun of sharing an image of the textures around you by including a link to this post in your own post (you don’t have to make an exclusive Tuesdays of Texture post!).

You can find an image you like during the week if you don’t have one today 🙂

(Links to this post will automatically appear as ping backs.)
That nifty new “badge” was inspired by KimHine, who was kind enough and brilliant enough to make one for her Tuesdays of Texture posts.  Mine links to the category if you want to browse past posts.
You can use it if you are into having event badges in your blog.

I wanted to finish the year’s Tuesdays of Texture with one of my favorite textures in the world, one that makes me feel like home:  sand of course.

I’m serious when I say I carry it’s feeling in my feet;  I grew up with the amazing sensation of the grains of sand against my skin and there’s no place far enough from it that I could go to shake it off.  Remembering it grounds me and I’m thankful that nature has given me that solace.

Check out last week’s participants:

KimHine had a sneaky shot of a texture from the sea to make us guess.  Man, I was glad I got that one since *read text above*.

Creekrose shared an image of a cutglass.  And I drooled a little because I’m very much into cutglass.

Norm shared a great image of a tree with moss, which also served as a participation on last week’s WordPress Photo Challenge.  I love merged challenges 🙂

Have the best Tuesday of the year!

Oh, that’s beautiful sand! My hubby and I lived near Lake Michigan in our early marriage years and he and I loved to go there and climb and walk through the sand dunes. It is a happy sensation to the feet! 🙂

    My pingback is above.

P.S., Nice badge that Kim designed for you!

Hi – love the new badge 🙂 – and the sand image you gave us here is interesting – like is it a fallen castle, a spot from walking – kinda intriguing….
and the quote is such a nice match!
