This is part of what I can see in my back yard.

My favorite spot, as you can imagine since I have featured it twice already, is this bit right here. I sit there under the avocado tree and… think about the ocean. I don’t miss home per-se, but I woke up with the infinite blue pool in front of me every day for approximetely twenty eight years; I carry it in my heart along with the roots of the mountain and when the breeze hits my face I can almost feel the waves playing in my feet.

But beyond that yard and all the little surprises it gives us everyday, like the reinita who built it’s nest in our terrace’s lamp, and the chickpea tree that gave us chickpeas for our first meal, beyond that, is our home. It comes with much more than fresh fruits, luscious lawn that cussions your feet almost to the point of embrace and beautiful orange sunsets.
It comes with family.
I wonder if that tree could support a treehouse…?
Home, of course, is much more than simply a box where you live. Someday, I’ll get off my lazy kiester and write a post about that…
I’m pretty sure it could. It supports kids climbing on it!
Home is where your peace is. And also where you store your toothbrush. Ha.
Looks like a great yard!!! I will have trees (probably orange and lemon trees) in my yard too! (at least when i ‘ll have a house with a yard….)
I’m negotiating an orange tree
LOVE oranges. Manfriend had an entire lemon tree farm so he’s kind of an expert, we use lemon a lot over here.
Plus there trees smell so nice when they bloom!
OMG. They DO smell like a bit of heaven. YES!
